This week at the Law School, Jacob Shellabarger ’07, Prosecutor for Audrain County in Mexico, Missouri, will be the speaker for  “Life of a Lawyer” on Monday, February 11th at 1:00 in room 107.  The “Life of a Lawyer” series brings attorneys to the law school to meet with students in small, informal settings.  The attorneys typically talk about their path to and in the profession and respond to questions from students. It also serves as a good opportunity to network.  Lunch will be provided, so an RSVP is required.

On Wednesday, February 13th, a group will be leaving from the Career Development Office (Room 103) at 11:40 to walk, weather-permitting, to the restaurant Bleu downtown for the Boone County Bar Association Lunch.  Dean Myers will be the guest speaker.  If you are interested in working in Columbia and would like a chance to meet local attorneys, please consider joining the group for lunch.  Dress is business-casual.

On Thursday, February 14th, at 1:00 in room 3  there will be a Navy JAG Informational Session.  LT Jacqueline M. Leonard, JAGC, USN, Legal Assistance Attorney for the Naval Air Station Pensacola and a recruiter for the Naval Judge Advocacy General program will be the speaker.  If you have every thought about a military career, this would be the workshop for you!
